VTG MCM Crescent Silver-Plated Water Pitcher Scrolled Handle 4” Ice Lip
It is clearly marked “Crescent” along with 3 other symbols/markings: a lion’s head, crescent moon and phoenix. This mark was used by Crescent Silverware Mfg. Co., Inc., of Port Jervis, New York. the Crescent City Silver Company, founded in New York City in 1922, moved to Port Jervis in 1939. Originally, they made pewter, silver-plate, and chrome-plate wares, but settled on silver-plate alone in 1935, manufacturing nearly 500 items. They took over the Knickerbocker Silver Company and were in turn taken over by Samuel Kirk & Sons in 1977.
measures 8″ inches (height) x 9″ inches (width – handle to tip of spout). The base measures 4 inches in diameter. Also pitcher measures around 16 to 18 “circumference around largest part of body.
Has not been polished!!! this is all original patina
